Yes, preferably with an assailant pummeling you with a bamboo stick.

My favorite thing to do in basic was shining my boots, that's about all we had to do though! There's some trickery you can pull off using a lighter that can turn them into a mirror. But since you don't have the leather toes, it's sort of a mute point.

Let me know if that changes, I can give ya some pointers.

Aw. . .my boots are roughout.

Should I still polish them enough to shave with them?

And should I shave with this rusty bayonet?

Call me when you can shave using your boot as a mirror.

Then you're ready!

Nope.

Maybe during Mid Semester break or Thanksgivi ng break, but not a second before.

However, I DO have the opportunit y to iron shirts and dust my wall locker.
And for this recruit, that's videogame enough.

Ahhhhh...r oger that. You seem to be enjoying the college (military) experience . Are you gonna have a chance to get some Halo Reach in?

Good stuff Mr. Typhoon! As for the library bathrooms, you're all alone on that one. Never encountere d that in the AF!

It was mandatory fun.

Thin gs I've learned at Norwich: How to heat a pop tart with a clothing iron. How to eat a banana with a knife and fork. How to brush my teeth, shave, and iron a shirt in under five minutes. How to take a shower using nothing but baby wipes. How to use Windex to shine shoes. That masturbati on in library bathrooms is acceptable , and encouraged .

These are the life skills that will carry with me for the rest of my life.

We had our first football game yesterday.

They had 3rd and 4th Battalions form up in the endzones, and whenever a team scored, interceive d, changed possession . . .really, whenever anything at all happened during the game, we did about 20 pushups.

it was motivating .

Bring the wheel barrow, take two crushed earings! sales were up 267% for the quarter thanks to RDR. Now they have 300 million in cash on hand to invest on another title or two

Infinity Ward is at it again, and Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) looks like it will carry the CoD pedigree on to greater glory! The video looks great, and if they can build on Modern Warfare (1) then the sky is the limit. The online play was solid, but it was buggy and the flipping grenades were ridiculous so hopefully they can tweak it a little. But we'll have to see!

Enjoy the video and post your thoughts, I fore one cannot wait! Let the hype begin!

Looks pretty sweet! looks like your going to have some cool weapon disarms. I am amazed that they are already running the commericals on tv. Talk about getting the hype train started.

Hmm... looks interesting. How much of that will actually be game-play, though?

Based off of COD4, I would think that this game is going to look and play AWESOME!!! The visual and audio presentation was incredible for COD4, and I stand by the statement that the campaign in the game was an emotionally charged journey. Captain Price may you rest in peace.

The online aspect of the game was a bit buggy at first, but it still performed incredibly well. There were parts of the game that didn't work very well online, grenades were absurd and lag was a bummer but that's true for any online game. Once they worked through the initial kinks, things played well and I enjoyed that game for a LONG time. With the advent of Halo 3 it sort of fell by the wayside for me, but I still look at it on occasion and think about putting it in.

So yeah, this game would seriously have to try and screw this up. It's not like with GoW -> GoW2 where they were taking a buggy game and trying to improve on it; COD4 was awesome and if they screw this up it's nothing more than SHAME ON THEM! Infinity Ward has the golden egg, all they have to do is not drop it.

I... don't know if I will get this game. I never did finish the single player campaign in COD4, because it was a bitch and I lost interest. Multi-player was pretty fun for awhile, but it is a little too arcade-y/twitch-y for my taste. I would like a little more realism and a little less "just throw grenades all over the f*$%". Not to mention I never liked the idea of crucifying the losing team even more by bringing in napalm calls or helicopter support. It was a great idea, but made the game very unbalanced.

The grenades were a pain, in fact it was the only point in the campaign that had me going "OH MY GOD!!!". On Veteran difficulty the AI was chucking grenades like it was a bad action movie.

So yeah the air calls and helicopters are an interesting dynamic. There are times where the choppers seem down right invincible, but they can be brought down with the right equipment.

Mile High Club v2 bitches! That was the singular most FRUSTRATING achievement EVER! I think this game is gonna be better than CoD4 by far, but I also think it's only gonna hold my attention as long as there are achievys to be had. Get through the single player, play maybe a little online, then back to Halo 3. I've learned by now that no matter how amazing we think a game is going to be, Bungie really got the online aspect right on. Doesn't change the fact that this game is definantly going in my library of games though

Who all got the Mile High Club achievement? I got it for me and a buddy of mine as well, but only after about 1000 tries.

Epic fail on both for me. I gave the COD4 variety a try and that didn't work out very well. The real life variety hasn't ever been attempted, I value my felony free status too much. :lol
